Isaiah’s prophecy about the virgin conceiving and giving birth to a son is often quoted around Christmas, but often only understood in part. This prophecy has both an initial fulfillment in Isaiah’s day, as well as a later fulfillment at the birth of Jesus. Why is it important to understand both and what does this reveal about the character of God?
