What “lesser god” (approval of others, financial security, personal comfort, more possessions, etc.) is currently vying to be on the throne of your heart and keeping you from abiding in Christ?

In what area of your life do you feel “empty” or like you have “nothing” left to offer or give?
How does knowing the God (Elohim) who began creation “ex nihilo” (from or out of nothing) help you trust that He is working to create something good in the midst of your emptiness, and specifically in what ways?

Are there areas of your life in which you are “counseling” God by telling Him how it should turn out?
How would abiding in the God who is entirely wise, far beyond our understanding, allow you to stop exhausting yourself with what-ifs, and what steps can you take to trust the One who already possesses the perfect solution?
April 10th
What areas of life are you currently judging God’s goodness based on human reasoning, logic, timing, or expectation?
In what ways can you grow your ability to abide in His higher, eternal perspective and lead to an increased ability to trust Him with situations that don’t make sense or are a challenge to you?

Are there areas of your life that you are attempting to deal with current struggles or difficulties in your own strength, as if God were distant?
What can you do presently to consciously rest in the reality that He is fully present with you, entirely distinct from your problems but sovereign over them?
